Rochelle “Shelley” F—Practice Owner
Shelley and her husband, Dr. Kent Forney, opened Forney Animal Center (now NAMC) in 1987. She has worked in all areas of the hospital as a receptionist, in kennels and as an assistant in treatment. She currently works in the management area of NAMC. Shelley and Dr. Forney have three sons-Adam, Eric and Shane and their fur family members include Yorkshire Terrier-Bear (who doesn’t know he is a little dog) and Labrador-Lexi.
Alisa M—Practice Manager
Alisa joined NAMC in July of 2010 as our Practice Manager. Alisa Graduated from the University of NE-Omaha with a Bachelors of Science and attended graduate classes in Organizational Communication. Alisa, a Council Bluffs native, was a basketball player in High School and played for the University of NE @ Kearney. Alisa and her husband, Nate, moved here from South Dakota and are the proud “parents” of Japanese Chin-Bosley, Mastiff–Leo, Great Dane/St Bernard- Missy (who loves to run on the farm and play with the calves!) and horses-Maddy & Bailey. Nate is a cattleman/farmer and he and Alisa raise cattle, chickens and pigs on their farm near Denton.
Nanci K—LVT
Nanci is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and began working with the Forney’s when they first opened Forney Animal Center (now NAMC) in 1987. In addition to being an LVT, she is also in charge of HR at NAMC. Nanci is the first Veterinary Technician member of the Nebraska State Board of Examiners for Veterinary Medicine & Surgery. She has also served several terms as President of the Nebraska Veterinary Technician Association. Nanci and husband, Gordy, have two sons James and Kris and four wonderful grandchildren. They share their home with Labradors-Miss T & Phoebe, Australian Shepherd-Callie, Pembroke Welsh Corgi-Nala, Puggle-Belle, and fabulous felines-Jamocha, Hemi & Harvey. Her menagerie also includes Donkey-DonQui, Mule-Sally, Miniature horse-Mojo, and horses-Chocolate, Miracle, Katie and Narada. Nanci and Gordy also own and operate Whispering Pines Pet Cremation Services southwest of Lincoln. Nanci, Miss T and Nala are Therapy Dog Teams with Healing Heart Therapy Dogs and work with Tabitha Hospice. Miss T is a READ (Reading Education Assistance Dogs) dog at Gere Library where kids read to her to help improve their reading skills. Nanci enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, riding horses and accompanying her granddaughter to 4-H and horse shows.

Steven "Steve" D.—Veterinary Assistant
Steve joined the NAMC team in 2001. Steve has worked in the Client Care, Kennel and Treatment areas of NAMC. Steve is a veterinary assistant and works primarily with Dr. Ehlers in the NAMC Rehabilitation center. Steve enjoys working with the pets that come in for rehabilitation services. Steve’s “fur family” include Pugs- Bozlee and Roxy.

Chelle C—Reproduction & Purchasing
Chelle began her career with NAMC in April 2002 when she came to NAMC from an AAHA accredited hospital in Huntsville, AL. She has been in charge of the purchasing of hospital supplies, food, toys, etc since 2003 and is always in search of a good bargain. Chelle lives on acreage near Dewitt where in addition to her human family members, she shares her home with a menagerie of animal companions. On her time off, she enjoys working with her therapy dog AECI and visiting the local nursing home. She also enjoys anything that keeps her active outside.
Michelle C—Technical Services & Client Care Specialist
Michelle began her career at NAMC in November 2001. She commutes daily from her hometown of Omaha where she shares her life with Chinchilla-Chilla and dogs, St Bernard/Newfie mix-Glory and Landseer Newfie-Willy. Michelle is our Technical Services whiz and comes to our rescue multiple times each day when the computers act up! When she is not at the clinic fixing a computer or printer, Michelle can be seen at a Lincoln Northeast sporting events coaching the cheerleading squad.
Vicki F—Client Care Specialist
Vicki joined the NAMC team in July 2004 as a bather for the Grooming Department working up to the Client Care Team and is now a Vet Assistant for Dr. Forney. Sadly Vicki had to say goodbye to her lifelong friend of 16 years, Toby, whom she had shared her life with since she was in Junior High. Although it was tough to let Toby go, she gave him the gift of a wonderful life and a proper ending with dignity. Someday she will find another soul to love but will never forget Toby, her first love.
Ambyr M—Client Care Specialist & ABC Certified Animal Behavioral Trainer
Ambyr joined the NAMC team in November 2003 working in the kennel department. She is currently part of the Client Care Team and works as a veterinary assistant. After completing extensive training in Animal Behavior she received certification from the Animal Behavior College. Ambyr is the NAMC Puppy Kindergarten and Beginning Obedience instructor and works with clients whose pets are having behavior issues. Ambyr is married and has a young son. She shares her life with Chile, Sally, Tank and Uma and a few cat
Tyffini S—Client Care Specialist
Tyffini began her career at NAMC in 2008 as the Kennel Team Leader. While growing up she lived in many places since her father served in the Air force. She graduated from High School in 2002 in Louisiana and that is where she found Border Collie mix-Tabasco. Tabasco was found on the side of the road when she was only about a week old. Now at 7 yrs old, Tabasco and Tyffini welcomed Henery who was adopted in September 2009 from Little White Dog Rescue. As Kennel Team Leader, Tyffini has completed specialized courses and received her Advanced Pet Care Technician certification from the Pet Care Services Association. In addition to playing with the pets in her care, some of Tyffini’s favorite past times are country dancing, instructing and riding horses!
Jennifer “Mille” D—Client Care Specialist
Millie joined the NAMC team in June 2008. Millie is a Client Care Team member and works with Boarding/Grooming clients as well as stocking, answering phones and making appointments. Millie shares her home with Labrador-Cheyenne and Siberian Husky, Riggs. Millie loves that she and Cheyenne share the same birthday. Cheyenne is her best friend and, even though she is 7 yrs old, she still acts like a crazy puppy! Millie says that she has yet to find a squeaky toy that Cheyenne can’t destroy in 10 minutes!
Leah H—Client Care Specialist
Leah began her career at NAMC in January 2011. Leah is a US Navy Veteran. She is a veterinary medicine student through the UNL/ISO Professional program in Veterinary Medicine. She aspires to be a companion animal veterinarian. Leah is pictured with her cat Oreo.
Molli B—Client Care Specialist
Molli joined NAMC in 2008. She shares her home with Bichon Frise -“Murphy the wonder dog.”
DeAnna C—Client Care Specialist
DeAnna joined the NAMC team in April of 2009. Originally from Kentucky, DeAnna has lived in 8 states and now calls Lincoln her home. Sweetie and Baxter “Little B” make up her feline family. Sweetie was rescued from a fox and nursed back to health by DeAnna. Baxter was a tiny stray kitten who was dropped off at NAMC. He had a serious leg injury that required it to be amputated. Shhhhh!....Baxter has no idea his leg is missing!!! DeAnna loves to camp and fishing with her 3 children and husband Matt.
Keisha L—Client Care Specialist
Keshia has been with NAMC since August 2010. She is from Randolph, Nebraska and is currently a pre-vet student at UNL. Keshia has a cat named Kappy. She keeps busy with classes and in her spare time she likes to fish, hangout with friends and read.
Allison O—Client Care Specialist
Allison started with NAMC in March 2011. She is a pre-vet student at UNL. Allison’s furry companions consist of a dog named Jake, Sasha, a gerbil and Gracie the cat. Allison likes to run outdoors and spend time with her friends and family.
