Treatment - Technician Team

Rachel R—LVT

Jaren, Pet Care TechnicianRachel is a Grand Island native. She originally started her journey at NAMC in September 2004; she went on to further her education at Ne College of technical agriculture and graduated with her associates of applied science in May 2008. She was elected to go to NYC for a yearlong internship. She appreciated and furthered her knowledge through her internship, and became very interested in anesthesia and hospital patient care; her goal is to be specialized in anesthesia. She passed the VTNE in June 2009. She has been an LVT in Grand Junction, CO and Scottsbluff, NE and then she found her way home to NAMC. She is now the team leader of the treatment department. She shares her life and bed with; Mya (DSH 12yrs); Elliot (black lab mix, 10yrs); Pooh (shih-tzu 8yrs); Samra (DSH 6yrs). Rachel is dedicated to giving animals quality care; she treats them as her own. She enjoys learning more about her career and furthering her knowledge; then loves to have fun; singing, dancing, and using her sense of humor to entertain.

Michelle P—Treatment Specialist & Veterinary Assistant

Molli B.—Client Care SpecialistMichelle “Birdie” has worked for NAMC since May 2007. She began joined the NAMC team working in kennels, then transitioned into working for the Client Care and Treatment departments. Michelle has a special interest in Orthopedics and assists Dr. Hoefle and Dr. Pretzer with Orthopedics appointments. She is originally from Bellevue but has family in England that she is lucky to visit. You can find Birdie busting a move or singing a random Glee tune while she is working. Her favorite breed is a Westie. Her dog Tucker, can give a paw and knows all of his toys by name. Which she believes is a HUGE accomplishment for her stubborn Westie. Per Birdie, “It’s a Westie world and we just live in it.”

Brenda B—LVT

Brenda B.—LVTBrenda began her career with NAMC in 1996 and is a licensed veterinary technician. She received her Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture and worked for another clinic prior to joining NAMC. Brenda’s special interests include dentistry and she is Dr. Forney’s assistant in the radioiodine treatment for hyperthyroid cats. Brenda is married and has two sons, Bryce and Brady, and daughter Bryanna. In addition to be a busy working mom, she is also a volunteer Firefighter/ EMT for the Ceresco Fire Department. Brenda and her family share their lives with Samoyed-Chaunkers and kitty, Dango Jones.

Amy B—LVT

Amy B.—LVTAmy earned her Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, NE in 2008 and is a licensed veterinary technician. Amy has been a member of the NAMC technician staff for almost two years. She shares her home with Cal, a three and a half year old beautiful “mutt”, and Sasha, an 18 year old Domestic Longhair cat. Amy is continuing her education and has been accepted into the University of Nebraska College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and we are all very proud of her!

Brad H—LVT

Brad began his career at NAMC in 1996 and is a licensed veterinary technician. Brad is a graduate of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, NE.

Tessa M—Veterinary Assistant

Tessa M. —Veterinary AssistantTessa began her career at NAMC in 2009. She is a graduate of Northeast Community College and earned her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology in 2003. She is a member of the NAMC Treatment Team. Tessa is a Southeast NE girl and shares her life with kitties-Astrid and Axel. She loves music and attends concerts whenever she can, enjoys reading and spending time outdoors. Tessa says, “I love animals but am more of a cat person thanks to my grandmother who was my hero. I am easy going, relaxed and have a great sense of humor”. Tessa shares her life with (in her words) “a very spirited, spoiled, silly, overweight kitty that (according to her cat) is big-boned and one very special, crazy, and young at heart kitty who keeps Tessa on her toes 24/7.

Jaren—Pet Care Technician/Veterinary Assistant

Jaren, Pet Care TechnicianJaren was born and raised on a family farrow-finish hog operation where he would help the family vet on house calls and developed a passion for large animal veterinary medicine. Jaren is a Pre-Vet student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Jaren has a love for German Shorthairs and he was excited to keep a pup named Tucker from his family pet Lola’s last litter. Jaren is pictured with Tank a NAMC patient. Jaren has always wanted a Great Dane but is ok with settling for time with Tank. Outside of work Jaren likes to remain active in sports, football, baseball and track.

Thanyachanok S—Pet Care Technician

Thanyachanok S,Pet Care TechnicianThanya started with NAMC in March 2011. She completed her bachelor degree of Veterinary Medicine at Kasetsart University, Bangkok Thailand. Thanya and her husband have a black toy poodle.
