| “Bad Breath” Busters |
Criss-Cross Cookies |

Ingredients:
2 cups brown rice flour
1 tablespoon activated charcoal (from the drug store, not briquettes!)
3 tablespoons canola oil
1 egg
1/2 cup chopped fresh mint
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
2/3 cup low fat milk
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly oil a cookie sheet. Combine flour and charcoal. Add all the other ingredients and mix well. Drop teaspoonfuls on oiled sheet, about 1 inch apart. Bake 15-20 minutes.

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 grated apple
1 beaten egg
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon molasses
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix dry ingredients. Mix wet ingredients. Combine both mixtures together. Roll mixture into small balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten top with a fork making a criss-cross design. Bake for 15 minutes. Cool before storing. Makes about 3 dozen treats.
