Dr. Carrie Frey

Dr. Carrie Frey received her B.S. in Veterinary Science from UNL in 1993. In 1997, she graduated from Kansas State University with her DVM degree. Upon graduation, she practiced in a small animal clinic near Kansas City, MO for 1½ years. In November 1998, Dr Frey returned to her hometown to join NAMC as an associate veterinarian. Interestingly, Dr. Frey actually started her career at NAMC in 1989, when she worked as a kennel staff member throughout her pre-veterinary years.

Dr. Frey’s special interests include internal medicine, abdominal ultrasound, oncology, and exotic pets (small mammals and some reptiles). She values the strength of the human-animal bond, and derives great job satisfaction from helping pet owners keep their furry family members healthy. She also has a special soft spot for dachshunds! Dr. Frey is a member of the AVMA and NVMA.

Dr. Frey and her husband (also a veterinarian) have three small children—Daniel, Emily, and Grant. Also in the family are a young dachshund named Jed and an elderly cat named Patches. Dr. Frey enjoys spending time with her children whenever possible, as well as bowling, reading and crafts.
