Heather B., LVT – Assistant Team Lead

Heather moved to Lincoln from Emerson, NE in the summer of 2013. She joined our Treatment team in November 2016. Heather met her husband Dan shortly after moving to Lincoln and was married in October 2017. Together they share 2 fur babies, Chase (dachshund) and Chester (kitty). Heather enjoys spending time with family,attending sporting events and zoos when they travel. Heather graduated from NECC tech school in May of 2011 and has worked with animals as an LVT since.

Brianna Y., LVT

Brianna is from a small town in western Nebraska called Gordon. Growing up, she always had an affinity for animals and knew that her career would involve working with them in some way. Brianna attended Chadron State College for several years, initially enrolled in pre-veterinary courses. She eventually ended up at NCTA in Curtis where she graduated with a veterinary technician degree in 2017.

Brianna has been employed with NAMC since her graduation and says that she couldn’t imagine herself anywhere else. At home she has 3 cats, a dog and a rat. When she’s not at NAMC Brianna can be found painting, reading, playing video games or spending time with loved ones.

Mackenzie W., LVT

Mackenzie grew up on a ranch south of Arthur, Nebraska where her love for animals began. Her family raised cattle and a few horses and had several dogs and cats as well. She joined our treatment team as an intern in March 2018 and returned as an LVT in May 2018 after finishing school. She attended Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, NE.

Mackenzie has a fur family of her own consisting of a Maltese named Chloe and a horse named Fatboy. Her hobbies include hunting, fishing and rodeoing.

Maddie S., LVT

Maddie graduated from Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, NE with a major in veterinary technology and a minor in animal production systems and joined our Treatment team in December 2017. She was adopted from South Korea when she was 4 months old and has been a Nebraskan ever since. Maddie has 2 brothers, 9 step siblings, and 2 beautiful fur babies (goldendoodle and Pembroke welsh corgi). She enjoys her morning runs, taking naps and dancing/serenading her fur babies with 80’s music.

Nikki F., LVT

Nikki is from Lincoln and joined our treatment team in March 2016. She graduated as an LVT from Vatterott in Omaha in 2011 and started working as a technician shortly after.

Nikki has2 cats, 2 leopard geckos, 1 tokay gecko, a guinea pig, and 2 beta fish. She enjoys watching TV, reading, and being outside. Nikki also loves spending time with friends and family.

Tristyn B., LVT

Tristyn was born in California and raised in Plattsmouth, NE. She joined our Treatment team in December 2017. Tristyn graduated from Plattsmouth High School. She attended and graduated from Iowa Western Community College. She has always loved animals and her heart is in emergency medicine. Her hobbies include going to Disneyland, traveling, spending time with family, reading, spending time with her dog Rampage and her cat Ruckus.

Darby P., LVT

Darby joined our treatment team in May 2018. She grew up on a hobby farm in Minnesota and earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology with an emphasis in Zoology and an associates degree in Veterinary Technology. Darby has a variety of experiences as a veterinary technician and a zookeeper throughout the US. She is most passionate about elephants and has worked with both African and Asian elephants at several zoos. Darby recently moved to Lincoln, NE with her fiance Ryan and her family of pets, 2 Miniature Dachshunds (Abigail and Sophia), her cat (Rayne), and her chickens. She loves the outdoors and enjoys camping and canoeing with her family.

Emily B.

Emily joined out treatment team in April 2018. She enjoys hunting, fishing, sewing, and crochet. Emily has a cat and would love to have a bunny one day!

Catherine W., LVT

Catherine is from Omaha, NE and joined our Treatment team in March of 2017. She has a Rottie/Coonhound mix named Monkey and several kitties. She breeds ball pythons.
