Nebraska Animal Medical Center’s pet care technicians look forward to coming to work each day and interacting with your pets when they are in our care. Their enthusiasm and passion for pets is evident in what they say:
We will go above and beyond to give the best care to your pets. Each of us strives to earn your respect and trust and will treat your pets as we would want our own pets treated.
Think of Nebraska Animal Medical Center as your pet’s home away from home!
When your dog stays with us, you can be sure that he or she will be treated like family. We will:
- Walk dogs three times daily.
- Clean and disinfect all suites and kennels.
- Provide fresh, clean bedding each day.
- Feed-quality iVet foods, fed at your direction. You are also welcome to bring your dog’s food from home.
- We offer Last Call walks for those pets who usually go out right before bedtime. Walks are between 10pm and Midnight.
Your pet’s appetite and elimination is monitored daily and, should a concern arise, there is always a veterinarian on staff to respond.
Dogs staying more than two nights receive a complimentary kennel bath. The Kennel Team will make sure that your canine companion gets plenty of love and attention.
The new turf allows the staff to make cleaning up after the dogs easier, reduces dogs urge to dig, fixes dogs killing the grass, keeps the dogs from getting muddy paws, it also helps with potty training with it looking like actual grass. The turf doesn’t contain any harmful chemicals and is hypoallergenic.
With our old fence dogs were able to see out at all the people and dogs walking by which caused them stress for them at times with barking at the fence. With the new fence it is, for the most part, private with only one side being slatted. This helps the dogs to focus on playing with their friends instead of being occupied by those passing by. It still allows for people walking by to see through to daycare on one side.
Doggie Daycare at Nebraska Animal Medical Center offers both care and companionship for your pet. Pets need exercise and socialization to remain mentally and physically fit. Let us fill their day with fun while you are away!
Daycare pets go outside at least three times a day for about 20 minutes each time. Dogs love safely running and playing off-leash in our fenced-in backyard. Our experienced kennel staff supervises our daycare dogs at all times. This ensures they are having fun and are comfortable in our safe environment. Because many of us work long days, daycare is perfect for dogs that may need medication during the day while you are at work.
Daycare can be a good way to correct bad behaviors dogs may have at home; such as destructive chewing, poor canine social skills, separation anxiety, poor leash walking behaviors etc. Daycare provides dog interaction with others of equal energy levels and sizes. They learn correct play behaviors while being preoccupied with their new found doggie friends. It is also very helpful with new puppies. At daycare they are taken out every 2 hours to help with potty training. They also interact with other puppies of the same age to help with proper play behaviors. We also focus on obedience with the dogs at daycare on how they interact with both the dogs and the staff.
Puppy Daycare is an excellent way for puppies to learn socialization skills with other dogs and people. As an added plus, Puppy Daycare helps potty and crate train dogs because they are taken outside and exercised every two hours.
Puppies also get lots of exercise by playing with other puppies, toys, and our caring staff. This allows puppies to stimulate both mind and body. Daycare gives dogs a chance to be part of a “pack” in a safe, monitored environment when their owners are not available.
